We're grateful for all the churches in our area that faithfully preach about Jesus week in and week out. We celebrate the fact that God uses his people to see his mission accomplished. Recently, a national church planting agency mentioned us in a short article about our area.

Yes, we had to cancel our mid-week meeting, yet again, because of snow. However, it offers a chance to reflect upon what God is doing in our midst!

A progression of quotes from J. Mack Stiles got me thinking tonight, thinking about love for and devotion to Jesus' people (the church). It began with the Bible's assertion that the world will know that we are Jesus' disciples if in fact we love one another. In chewing on that idea, Stiles recalled a conversation he had with a couple who enjoyed casual involvement in many different local congregations, so that "when they got bored" they could just move to the next congregation. He responded to their flightiness with, "I see...and besides that, you're never around long enough to have any messy disagreements!" To which the couple answered, "Exactly!"

Here is a great post from our friends at The Resurgence asking a simple but pointed question, "Is Jesus enough for you?" Unfortunately, American consumerism is working against us on this one!

For just over a month now we've had three families from our Louisville core-team living in our planting area. The Chripczuks arrived safely (thank you for the prayers!) and have made themselves at home in Oreland. So now that three out of four (maybe five??) families of our Louisville core-team are here, what have we been up to?
